M-N-G wrap up, BONUS TIGER SKI!!!
 

Hit the water with the NJF crew today. I'd like to thank all the fellaz that came out today, Saxmatt, Atilla, ChrisJC, Mike the lurker, Kcritch, Glenn and his crew, GetaNet, ScowardNJ, Mikey Topaz, Mike owner of JJ Bittings in Woodbridge, Jake and GERRY ZAGORSKI!!! I was kind of shocked when you walked on the ice Gerry! Thanx for coming out man, as always, the more the merrier. Good people, good times, good brews and some good food were had by all. Meatballs, pulled Venison sammiches, chili dogs filled my belly and kept me nice, warm and energized all day. Thanx for bringing the grub fellaz, It was delicious! Jigging was a little slow today in an area that is usually very productive. A few of the fellaz managed to get some nice Perch and Pickerel in the shallow weed bed on the jig. Overall the fishing was slow all around but you have to take into consideration that half the baits being used were 7 inches and bigger, LOL! I got a flag right around 820 am while I was out checking my baits and depths. Walked up to the tip up and the line was screaming, I said to myself, "Wow, this must be a giant Pickerel or LM. I picked up the line felt the weight and "BOOM" set that hook like a champ. Felt the weight as the fish took a couple runs and started thinking Musky. Sure enough the toothy critter came to the hole and up onto the ice she landed. My first musky through the ice in a very, very long time. It felt great and I was pumped up for the rest of the day. Tiger taped out at 36 inches on the nose. Thanx to the guys that came to aid me in landing this fish. I had a very hard time turning this fishes head to strategically fit it through my 7 inch hole. If your out there hunting these monsters, I'd seriously suggest a 10 inch auger. Got a few more flags as the day went on but they were dink pickerel. All in all these things are all about getting out, meeting new people and having a good time. We're one big happy fishing family and I enjoy every minute on the ice with you MANIACS! Lets try to do this again at the end of the month possibly at Spruce. See you fellaz out there again real soon and thanx again for coming out.

Awesome get together guys. The food was great, thanks to Scott, Eddie and Dale for bring the grub. It was good to meet some new people and fish with some friends. Looking forward to the next one. Congrats on the tiger Eddie, you've been putting in a lot of time and were due for a big fish!

Great seeing you all and great job setting this up Eddie. Weather was perfect for it.

Seemed like everyone we ran across on our walk over to Halsey Island said it was slow. A few Perch was all most managed.

Yes it was quite a pleasure seeing Gerry and meeting Mike!
Was a blast as usual eatin and laughing all day with a tiny bit of fishing for me.
I was quite sore from the previous day and even though I dragged my sled out I really didn't plan on fishing today but thanks to Matt who was so persistent that I fished that when my back was turned he started dropping in Tip ups for me!!! I had a couple big boys on the hook looking for one of those Tiger Things LMAO!!

I was expecting the lake to be a mad house with the calm weather forecast but we practically had the whole south end to ourselves. Temps hit 40 i think at one point, no wind, overcast...perfect day out there. The fish could of cooperated a little more, as usual, but Eddies's Tiger definitely made the day worth while. Always a good time hanging with the NJFishing crew and meeting new fisherman. Always a great learning experience also! Great meeting Gerry! Thank you for this web site!

It was a nice day on the ice and just enough fish to keep it interesting - thanks for pulling together FE. My wife and I enjoyed the heck out of some fried perch last night!

It looks like we will continue making ice this week/weekend!

Sounds like a great day! Great lookin tiger ski Eddie, nice markings on her! I think that might be my next fix thru the ice, hopefully.
Didn't have any luck myself on the ice Sunday. Hit two trophy lakes with nothing to show for it. But, still a great day out there.
