Headed to the BIG D Saturday night.
 

Myself and Bob will be fishing for the FLATHEADS Saturday night if anybody would like to join. We'll be getting there around 3 or 4 to secure a spot and were not leaving until we're out of beer. Come on down somebody, anybody and enjoy a night of fishing and laughs. Pm me if you would like to get in on the action.:D

HAHAHA it will be all mine once Bob has 12 beers in his system. I may bring a noise maker and fire a few rounds in the air as well to clear any crowds. If NJF members would actually come out it would only take 5 or so people with 2 rods a piece to fill the spot. Anyway we'll be fishing to the early hours in the morning to see what really happens out there.

OK kids, just got home from catching bluegills for bait tomorrow. It was actually a bluegill slaughter today with a bonus crappie slaughter to add to the pile. Gills went up to 7 inches, crappie went to 12 inches. Nothing huge but it was a cute time with the trout rod and 2 lb test. Come on down to the river tomorrow night, see if you can get one of the massive flatheads out of the river. Myself and a few other anglers will be at the spot around 4. PM me or call if your in. TIGHT LINES!!!

Rolled up on the fishing spot about 5:30 PM to see several cars already parked including Fast Eddie's.
I thought that there would be like 40 people fishing but it turned out to be lots of campers.
There were about 8 people fishing. F.E. waves me over to his spot where he was fishing with Bob and a new guy Yuri.
The ball busting and beer were flowing and the catching was reported as slow.
I set up and soaked worms and chicken gizzards with only one or two pecks.
F.E. caught a small Flathead, and Bob had a good run off but came up empty.
It was a nice night out for me and amazingly Bob was still pretty coherent. The boys wanted to go partying so we packed it in about 9 PM.

Next time we will have Shucker show up in his ICE uniform and the place will be ours alone:D

It was a good time last night. Too bad the BIG CATFIZZ weren't on the chew. That always seems to happen when a fishing trip turns into more of a drinking trip. Anyway you can camp right there on the river for free and nobody says a word, thats AWESOME! Thanx for coming out George. Always a good time out on THE ROCK!!! RIVER MONSTERS are out there and when they get hungry again ill be there.

thats too bad about the sturgeon. I fished the same night and managed a 28 inch channel 5 mins before we left and missed 2 others. All in all a slow night. I see the water level is gonna rise i the next few days. I'm gonna try and make it out on Thursday.

Saturday was my worst trip for the cats this year. I like the water up a bit, cant stand when its so low. Whats you favorite bait buddy? Ive been using live gills, chubbs, shiners or anything else alive. Also do well with cut bait.

It was my worst trip out there also as far as bites and fish go.I only been using live or dead gills. I'm fishing with large lighted bobbers and about a 1/4 ounce of lead about a foot above the leader. I let the weight snag the bottom and the bobber just float in the current.
