What is your favorite fall run fish to target?

Up here, the haddock and pollock kick in. Stripers run die down substantially after October 1st. And the pollock typically start around now although they are running late.

We have something in the spring known as Acadian Red fish, they are small, keeper size is 9”, but they are delicious and the people that target them come from everywhere.

Blackfish, Seabass and Stripers are here and that's what most will be fishing for.

Run and gun fishing for false albies with light tackle.
Love the thrill of the chase!

This year, several Mainers reported catching false allies, I didn’t believe it until I saw the pics. If we start getting them in Decent numbers, that will add a new dimension to surf casting.

It's not so much the home value as much as it is location location location. I can cross the street into the next town over from me and my taxes would go up about 30 to 40%!

That’s just nuts. I’ve never caught a tog, I visit my brother in RI, and I see guys spear fishing them. I will say that I got a sea bass when I was down in RI, and it is by far the best eating fish I’ve ever eaten.

I like jigging togs. And may dabble with flounder. But as far as table fare goes, gimme the cunner and windowpane flounder outta colder water. Cunner is hands down to me one of THE best tasting inshore fish.

Now I feel like an idiot for every cunner I’ve tossed overboard.

Yep. We get keeper blackfish sized ones out east when cod/sea bass fishing. They're insanely good.
