Vacation fish! 8/18-8/25

Vacationed on LGNY this past week with the family. We just can’t gwt enough of this place and the lake! It’s just breathtaking everywhere you look! Gotta love the Adirondack Park! Had the kayak with me and mainly fished the south side for Smallies and LM! There are tons of em in there that are willing to feed despite all the boats and other water craft! Used lots of Z-man products and the Whopper Plopper at night. Awesome action with 100’’s of fish between 12-16 inches. Couple bruisers in the mix as well! Returned home from LG Friday afternoon and then off to my bros house in Belmar to finish off vacation week . We did the family thing hitting Jenks and having a good time. Woke up early this morning and hit one of my favorite inlets. 3rd cast yields a short Fluke at 17 3/4, 4th cast gets the keeper at 18 1/2. Hell yesss, DINNER! All the action for me was on this mornings outgoing tide with big white gulp. Once the tide switched with that huge ocean heave and terrible NE wind I couldn’t buy a bite. It’s all good! Week and weekend well spent with family and finishing up with a fish fry for me and my wife! Mmmmmmm mmmmmmm yummy!

Nice pics, fish and scenery. Went to the ADKS for years and fished, upper/lower Saranac, Blue Mtn, Indian lake, etc. Always got whacked by smallies drifting the minnows over the offshore rock piles.

Def going back next year!

Nice fish Eddie! I'm heading up to LG this weekend and then camping up at Saranac Lake the following weekend with some buddies. Hoping for similar results :)

Whopper plopper from sun down into full darkness was absolutely off the hook. Friggin thing was getting smashed almost every cast. Good luck!

Fished the junior bass circuit in NJ when I was younger. The boy I have now is the boy we used to fish the tournaments in back in the day. I whooped Ike on Assunpink, LOL! Ahhhhhhh, the good ole days with the Jiggin’ Pig!!!

I love that lake, I know right where you are with that largemouth, we get a lot of perch just out from you after ice out. Going up for 10 days in October for the landlock salmon, if you never tried it, you ought to give it a try, off the sidewalk, no boat needed. It's great fishing off the sand bar across from the pink roof ice cream stand, stay out around the bouy and go east from there toward the boat launch, tons of big large mouth, and very large pickrel. 1.5 years and i'll be living up there

It’s simply amazing up there. There were a few guys trolling the south side getting some Salmon toward the end of my vacation. I didn’t have any Salmon gear with me unfortunately. One of the Salmon I saw was about 5 lbs. Hope
You have an awesome trip up there man. TIGHT LINEZ!!!:D
