Smalliez biting on the Raritan River

Got my first and second smb of the year.

Caught from raritan river on jigs, one on a pb&j trd and another on a black grub.

Used a gopro but it was aimed too high so screenshots are terrible lol forgive me. :D

nice bronzebacks. any fish this time of year are good fish.. those grubs are deadly on the smallmouth.

Same, but if I were to keep any fish, last choice would be old smallmouth. Not good eating from what I hear, and someone I met on the raritan that kept one at 16 inches said they had to throw it out after discovering it was full of parasites.

Way to go bro. I've still yet to get one this year. Tried all weekend but I did manage 1 pickerel out of the river. Bout 22 inches. On a shadow rap.

Nice pick, im hunting for a big one myself. Only one I ever caught from that river or any of the branches was a 4 incher. They seem to ignore me despite all the success other people have with them. :(
