Killer Whales....lol. Good analogy. About 15 years ago I was on Monksville and watched a Musky take out 2 baby mallards. I felt terrible but nothing I can do but figure eights.

Looks like myself and a bunch of other members will be out on Hopatcong tomorrow. We'll be fishing off Barnes Bros Marina. I did well there on Friday, caught 30 perch between 9-13 inches and 1 pickeral at 24 inches and fat. Ice was 6-8 inches where I was drilling. Come on out boyz. Going to be a little windy but a nice day over all. YEA BUDDY! TIGHT LINES!!!:D

Shoreline was great Friday. No problems at all.they didn't get much rain at Hopatcong today at all. Come on out dude. We'll be off Barnes marina. Should be there around 9 or so. Ill be wearing a gray Spider Ski jacket, black ski pants and a gray hat. Gona be windy but gotta get out there before it melts this coming week.

Think im just guna stay local tomorrow i had around 6o fish or so today over at my local bridge as far as the melt goes i been fishing out in pa they still have 12 to 15 so we should have another 3weeks of real good ice and then the feeder creeks and posible warm weather could start knocking the shoreline off but nothing a good plank cant fix

I don't know the lake but will google that Marina...been to dowsa few times so i will find yas... would like too meet you guys...getting the stink eye but it "may be the last time...I don't know"...should write a song...

Dad's NOT very happy, intended on meeting the crew at Lake Hopatcong Sunday but just found out daughters indoor soccer game time was changed and not going to be able to go! Sorry guys hopefully next time.

Sorry Eddie Dayton is tomorrow and I can't miss that. How about a Shad meet and great in the spring. We can line those boats up right across the river by Hoots and we got to get them. Good places to fish from the shore to. We'll just wait till they're running.:D

Njf Meet-n-greet! Part 3!!!
 

Well here we are again, another day in the cold and wind. When I give last minute notice more people show up. Myself, Outofline, MikeyTopaz, DuckorBleed, DuckorBleedJr, Jimmylivebait, NjBassman, Jackstraw, Mike the Pike, Joe and his girlfriend met up at Barnes on Hopatcong at around 9 am. NjBassman and Jackstraw were on a mission to jig something off the humps in the deep. They both caught some perch, but not what they were looking for. Me , Mike and Outofline set up our big baits. 10 inch Trout down a 10 inch hole for Mike. 6-7 inch Suckers down the holes for myself and Outofline. Everyone got there Tip-ups in the water and after that it was jigging time. Perch is the word of the day, why, cuz we caught a shitload! After my careful calculations, between the 11 of us that were jigging, we had easily over 100 Perch for the day. Only other fish we got were 3 Pickeral. Some guys caught 3 Perch, some got 20. The Perch we got were all between 9-14 inches with the exception of a few Pumpkinseeds. Biggest Perch was a 1 1/2 lbs on the nose. Mikey Topaz was in a funk today, poor kid couldn't get a raise if he was on Viagra. I saw the disappointment in his face. But he had other things going on. He's a great fisherman and everyone has there bad days. DuckorBleed and the other fellas had some great stories to tell. Lots of BALL BUSTING on this trip. Jimmylivebait, NjBassman, Jackstraw and the rest of my boyz are all GREAT fisherman and have AWESOME personalities. Couldn't of asked for a better day on the ICE. Even if the wind was blowing 15-20 and gusting to 30. As always GOOD TIMES, TIGHT LINES!!!!! YEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA BUUUUUUDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDY!!!!!!!!!!:D

Great day on the water..errr...ice...once again with the boys! Eddie and his boys know how to put a hurtin on those perch...but I got 4 ok! The other 100 were them so i helped the count ha! I tell you what...nothing beats a day of fishing with great guys and great stories and im looking foward to this spring and summer fishing with you guys. I just got off the phone with topaz and he said the perch came alive at his house when he started cleaning them haha...NEW BATH TOYS! All in all a great day with great fishermen.

Lucky for me the loser didn't have to clean the perch cuz I'd still be cleaning and cooking and serving drinks hahaha...
I got one perch that spit up two baby sunnies it had just eaten does that count as three? Haaa
Seriously that was impressive you guys...haven't seen size and quantity like that in NJ...thought I was in the adrks...
But mission accomplished for me...got to meet you guys and scoped out a place I hadn't been before...

great stuff ed and company!!!!! i fished nolans on saturday in the deep looking for some eyes but no luck.ended up drilling some holes right off the j-house in 8ft of water and caught some perch and sunnies.wanna get out one more day before the eyes close.fished sunday alittle futher back in the cove and had good pick of perch and sunnies.

Thanx guys. It was a good year for big perch. Overall not that good of a year for me. Got on the ice 6 times, used big baits 6 times and only came up with 2 slime darts on tip-ups. I was definately hoping for something bigger but that's how it goes. Took the ice fishing gear out of the truck and put it away for the year. Looking forward to the open water season now. I'm all fired up. TIGHT LINES!!!:D

Best day on the ice for me as far a quantity and quality goes. No dice on the musky or eyez, but it was a great time! Jimmylivebait, DuckorBleed, and Mikey Topaz are a bunch a great guys. It was great to meet you. Ball busting at it's finest!
