It was great to meet everyone. Good times even though the fish weren't cooperating. Hopefully we can plan another outing somewhere else in the near future, maybe at a spot with less ice boats :D

looks like a good time was had by all.had to work on saturday{all overtime} and sunday i had the chance to fish with my 2 sons at a local lake.we had a great time and caught a few fish too.i will make the next njf ice out.glad you guys had a good time

BD, lets see if we can have another MEET-N-GREET at LH. We just have to wait and see what mother nature brings us. Where would we park and what area should we fish. I personally like to be close to shallow and deep water so I can get my Perch fix and also try for the Eyes down deep. Maybe park at Barnes?

Yea i def had a great time out with NJF crew yesterday, no fish but a ton of laughs!!!!!! I agree with Flatcreek it was cool to put the name with a person. I'm stoked for the next one hopefully soon on the hardwater!!! But i'm game for anything so anyone looking to go ice/open give me a shout!!!! Nice job Eddie getting it together, and was well worth the effort!!!!!

Hey gang I have some bad news from Budd Lake. 5 people went threw the ice this evening. 2 adults and 3 kids. It was on news 12 nj. I'm not sure of there status or how long they were in the water but know there was helicopters and it was a very intense scene. Guys I know you all are for the most part big strong anglers, but please please use extreme caution when ice fishing. Going in is no fun at all.

Dare I say it, another ICE fishing get together. Wow, old man winter is coming hard this coming week and I know damn well Im going to be on the ICE while we have it. Anybody down to hit the HARDWATER? I personally would like to get on the 1 and only Lake Hopatcong. Never know what the damn weather is going to do in NJ. If the ICE-GODS are in our favor, we can have a nice little ICE-PARTY on LH and all meet at DOWS, plenty of parking there. If not LH than possibly SKUNKSVILLE. I know the north side of that place will have ICE. Open for suggestions boyz. Any ideas, post it up and lets get out there and enjoy ourselves SAFELY! TIGHT LINES!! YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA BUUUUUUDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDYYYYYYYY YY!!!

i would say LH is dependent on main lake ice. I hit the state park w my buddy the sat. of the weekend we had ice and in 2 hours no flags, prob 35 guys out there, saw 1 perch caught by someone, was dead. The lake is lowered right to the weed tops in that area, I wanna get out on the main lake and get sum action. This upcoming week shows lotsa promise w 3-4 days 20's and below

I agree Jimmy, Is there any Ice at the deep water points? I would love to get back out there again. Im not sure we're going to get a good 4 inches of solid ice on the main points with the damn wind. Anything is possible but if not I guess its back to Monksville for me. Always something to catch there, but you have to have a ton of patience. Lets see what happens early next week. On a good note I just got my new St Croix Legend jigging rod in the mail, EPIC! Its like holding a feather, WOW! TIGHT LINES!!!:D

Farrington is a good place if it gets locked up good. Aeroflex is good for winter stocked trout 30 yards off the main lot. Theres a few good spots for the trout but nobody catches much at Aero during ICE season. As far as I know Aeroflex doesn't have Ice yet, thats a nice deep lake.

aeroflex doesnt even have a skim yet, only in the back cove. U could open water fish it but theres no dock out need a jon boat. Im gonna check LH over the weekend ill post an update. I got a new fenwick jigging rod too for xmas Im dieing to use it on some bigger targets :)

Jimmy, keep us posted with the ICE formation buddy. Im sure BUNKER DUNKER has his eyes on the lake as well. All the traffic on that beautiful lake and its still the best lake in NJ.

Got a Home Made stick I'd like to try out on some nice big perch ain't a ST Croix or Fenwick but im sure it'll do the job and didn't cost me a dime.LOL

2nd best lake in NJ even tho I had the best day ever on LH..............theres one other place that is magical to me and i cant wait to get out there :) Im gonna check LH in a lil bit when I run out for parts.......

Took a ride around today drove up to oxford furnace and round valley. oxford furnace was about 3/4 covered in ice. round valley swimming side little less than half :) c u guys this wknd :)
