Well, we went back to the scene of the crime today. Very slow overall with some below average sized bass and some descent pickeral caught today. I went 3/14 on flags today. 2-3 of those flags were Pike that came unbuttoned and 1 bit through my 25lb leader finally. Fish had some weight to it but for now it's just another fish story. I've learned my lesson and will be armed with 60lb fluoro next time.

Positive note, there's nothing better than hanging with the boyz and doin some FISHIN'!!! Thanx fellas! See you next time. FEELING MOTIVATED!!!!

You will most deff get the big one one of these times.

Im tellin you there is a state record or damn near close toothy in there.

Ive been fishin there since i was 12 with my buddy Justin who lives there.

I clearly remember when we were about 14 we landed a monster like pictured above and we went home and told everyone that we caught a "4 foot pike" and no one would believe us LOL. im 23 now and if that fish is still in there its a real NJ trophy.

Would love to see a Walleye get pullout outa there! they are lurkin too

Lol... looked like there was a knife fight around the hole! It stopped bleeding shortly after we started packing up. Stopped at CVS to flush out the wound and wrap it neatly. It's a deep, jagged slice--went a lot deeper than I thought. I'm sure the adrenaline helped keep the flow steady! It's almost totally closed now. Def a scar with a dope story behind it!

There is a small school of hybrids that have been in there for a while now. Fishing club stocked them along with walleye many years back. gotta be some serious footballs left in there

The only time we caught hybrids is at night when they are smashin baitfish at the surface. They are very tough to locate. Walleye are very scarce, we only had one come to the boat following a spoon in September, it was mixed in with a school of white perch. tons of white perch in there. your best bet for eyes is north of where u guys fish on the left side of the point.
certain areas of the lake have old pine tree stumps that might hold them- the lake was a pine tree farm b4 it was damed, hence the name
My buddy & I have pretty big artificial reefs we dropped in there too ;)

That video is crazy lol !

Oh so now you don't like my hat??? That's FINE! I'll get you one for your birthday BIATCHHHHHHH! LOL, PIKE WRASTLIN'! Comin soon to ESPN 6, YEA BUDDY!

Heard a few stories about the Eyes and Brids in there. Now may be the perfect time to target them. Eyes and Brids don't travel alone in most cases and should still be in somewhat deep water now. Actually no, it's spawning time for Eyes so some are deep and some should be coming shallow. I'd look for shallow protected rock piles or gravel for the Eyes. They can also spawn in the weeds. AHHHHH, I'd rather catch a state record Pike out of there and than take it to Pompton to get recognition, LOL!!!!!
