nicely done. great footage! guess you have to watch for passing boats. all that line tangled around a prop would not be good for either of you!

1200 feet? That's quite a large reel to carry enough line? 500 yards?

I fly that sucker out about 1200 feet and plunk my plug right in the middle of a feed with deadly accuracy. Drop if from the Drone and land myself a nice fall striper from the beach.

Check out my video (I think I'm on to something here):

BETTER YET.. Replaces your tuna tower with that baby. Can even look inside the neigbhors' boats looking for bloody decks offshore

Don't get the aquadrone. Horrible system and expensive. No reason not to get a basic DJI or other drone with GPS return.

I use a large capacity spinning reel (FinNor) that I've used for tuna in the past. I have 80lb hollow core braid on it but I'm thinking about re-spooling with 25lb spiderwire. I could probably get 600 yards with that.

If you watch the video, there's a distance meter in the bottom of the drone screen. I drop the lure at just about 1200 ft out in this one.

Doug - You never cease to amaze me. Outside the box thinking is one thing but having the energy and passion to experiment and document it is another. Thanks for sharing this here and I look forward to seeing more of it. Well done!!
