Maybe someone in the Merrill Creek area can help out with this - I know just south of Montana Rd on Rt 57 in Stewartsville there is a store named Merrill Creek Sport Shop - never been in there - anyone know if they carry herring?

NOT YET OPEN but they say they could be up and running before april comes around !! location is on RT22E just before the Shell gas station there is a side road right there for trailer parking. Great news for those who live in the area.

There is nobody in the area of the North Branch. Lebenon was the perfect place. Now closed. Efingers opens too late. There used to be a place in Manville but I do not remember where it was. Some side street. Netcong is too far to go.

Now Open! Behre Bait & Tackle. About 1.2 miles east of the Round Valley access road, on Eastbound Rt 22, at Clark Road, behind the Shell gas station. Live shiners, worms and herring in season.
Hours: 6am to 7 pm. Open 7 days.
