Are there boat rentals there? I'd hate to be shore fishing, which will put me at a huge disadvantage!!

I'm going to try to make it but I may have work that Saturday.

Fished the lake on Saturday for a few hours wi 2 other guys.we picked up 1 bass... I had some massive blow ups on a frog but only came tight once and whatever it was cut clean through 25 lb power pro.

Just so you guys know a pretty large chunk of the lake is roped off. There is an active eagles nest. Also the shore to about 20-25 feet from shore is thick with grass.

How large of a chunk? Are we talking a quarter of the lake or half the lake? It's not that big a lake and I know they tend to keep you pretty clear of those eagles when they got a little one around.

Eagles nest has been there for years. Cant go past the buoys. And yes its a weedy bowl!!! But there are some rather large Largemouth in there.

Yeah, they do that every year on the right side but the fishing isn't that great over on that side and you can still fish and cast in that area.


The lake is weedy in some spot but has really nice open patches to lay it cleanly right in the weed line for the Big ones... I love fishing that lake....

PS... Shut up about the frog... your giving away my secret for killing it on that lake..... ;)

I do believe this is the same weekend me and my wife are going to a family barbque in Swartswood State Park...I may not be able to fish, but I will make it a point to stop by at weigh in to meet a few of the guys on the site.....we were there 2 weeks ago for the first time and didn't fish that day either, but was talking to the ranger and he said nice Smallies, Larrys and Walleyes in the lake on deep rock drop offs.....the lake looked beautiful and I wish I had brought a rod w/ me that day....

Picture/scale... also all the anglers will be with in shouting distance of each other so validating won't be an issue...

I'll take you up on that! No really i have a spot and it's all yours if you want it. No need to pay for gas because it's electric only. I got two trolling motors so we'll rocket from the lach baby! At least 3 MPH at top speed! Can't wait.

Ok guys... We have a NJ fish member that has been very gracious to offer up the use of an extra Yak for this event.... If you are interested in taking up this very generous offer and you have experience using a "sit top" yak and promise not to wreck/flip etc... lol then please PM me asap so I can get this set up....

Yes, I beleve we decided have a pool for 1st and 2nd biggest bass as well as a bounus pool for biggest Tiger Musky (if one is caught)..

*$20 per person/entry..... additional $5 per person if participating in the bonus Tiger Musky contest (bonus is only payed out if a Tiger Musky is a caught -not easy thing to do :eek: ............................
*Artificials Only
- 1st and 2nd place awarded for heaviest Bass (can be largemouth or smallmouth).......... 1st (70% prize pool) and 2nd (30% prize pool).
- Proposed $5 bonus from every participant to the heaviest Tiger Musky if one is caught (Optional entry at contest time).....
