Stopped into see Jamie on Friday to check out some Costas. She had a great selection to choose from and just got in 30 new styles. Found a pair of frame-less ones that my wife Ruth, Jamie and I agreed on so I ordered a pair with the exact lens and frame color I wanted..

Jamie and Shane were a real pleasure to meet and do business with. Great shop, great selection and nice people.

I get my Costas in a week so look out Chris... There's gonna be a new Costas model in town

Thank you Gerry! I am so happy that we found you the perfect pair of Costa's. Your Rockport 580's should be here in a few days. I look forward to the model showdown between you and Chris! LOL On another note, so great meeting you and Ruth. We had a blast at Off the Hook Friday night. Look forward to getting together again soon!

Jodie LOL! Thanks a lot Dad! Fun time at the Dive Monday night. Where are we going next? I think that Billy from the Mad Gaffer and Chris from the K Kat are stalking us, they keep showing up where we are. Weird, don't you think??? LOL It was nice meeting them both as well. I am liking these sponsor meetings. I think that Chris is really starting to get nervous about your modeling debut.

Another happy customer

Stopped in today with intentions of getting a different style than what i had, after trying them on decided to get a second pair of permits with 580 lenses. I was happy to see she had the other pair to try on and make a decision. Huge selection of frames which is great to be able to try them on and see which pair fits you the best. After getting my new pair, she is sending my old pair in for repair. Which keeps me from having to do it! Thanks again

Wow, things appear to be getting heated between you and Chris! Since your new Costa's will be in today or tomorrow, looks like you can finally have your big modeling debut. And yes family first Gerry, but I think NJFishing members may have to make the call on who makes the better Costa model. TBD I guess!!!

Keep in mind the camera adds 20 pounds but that's nothing photoshop won't take care of I'm gunning for you Chris :). Next shot will be a shevelt GZ to do the Costas justice.

Lenses are AMAZING..... You put the glasses on and feels like you've been transported to Oz.

Glad you are liking your new Costa's Gerry! Is it the glasses transporting you to OZ or the happy hour cocktails? LOL Either way glad your getting there! Looking forward to the showdown with you and Chris.

Hey Gerry! What did you do to my banner? LOL I must say I am not sure if I am team Gerry or team Chris G yet. You both look great in your Costa's.

Hmmmmmm - I just noticed the new Eyes on First Banner myself Jamie. Looks like we might have a security breach on the site I'm going to have to look into

I'll be getting back to you in a few weeks with my findings... I'd try and get to it sooner but I'm swamped with all the new modeling assignments :D

I would never toss you to the curb Chris. Apparently per Gerry, there has been some sort of security breach. A bit suspicious, don't you think?

Re: Welcome Eyes On First Ave - Atlantic Highlands

Jamie - I've had my Costas for a few weeks now and really like them. Didn't know how much I liked them until I was out yesterday trolling for Mahi and Tuna.

It was an overcast day so not full sun but very hazy. Watching for stuff to troll by or over is very important. So is being able to see lobster pots, into and under the water around the pots or in the back of your trolling spread is key. I was amazed to see how clear and how good I was able to see into the water, that is until I took of my Costas off to clean them.

Those 580 lenses are amazing. When I took them off there was a horrible glare from the hazy sun bouncing off the windshield of the boat. The water also had a glare to it to and I really couldn't see into it. I put them back on and it was like night and day. I could clearly see the lobster pots through the windshield we were driving around but trying to avoid. I could also see down into the water around the pots and under our trolling spread. These are big pluses.

2 other pluses...
1) Usually when I come back in from being out on the water and in the sun all day, my eyes are fatigued. That did not happen with the Costas.
2) It wasn't a real great day weather wise in the AM because of haze we had, but looking at the day through those lens really made everything pop. At least for me, the weather and my perception of it has an effect on my attitude which was made more positive by the lenses.

Thanks again for hooking me up with my Costas.

Re: Welcome Eyes On First Ave - Atlantic Highlands

Lost my Costa's Saturday evening after coming in from a boat ride on our family boat. Fell right off my head into the lagoon. Water was too deep to locate

Luckily, Eyes on First, recently signed up to be a sponsor on the site. Normally I would have gone right to the mall, but I wanted to help out one of our sponsors.
I tried on numerous pairs, but could not get my mind off the ones I had lost, an older model of Harpoon. I loved the lens and they fit me just right. Jamie had the harpoon in stock, but these had a new updated lens. I was sold.

Jamie was also gracious enough to give me a very nice deal on the new shades. Thank you very much! I will pass the word along to anyone I know looking for great service and a good selection at great prices!

Will keep you in mind for shades for the wife when I need a gift- Might be very soon If I keep fishing as much as I am:eek:

Hi Gerry!

So nice to hear from you. Thank you for taking the time to write about your experience fishing while wearing your 580 Costa's. Once people wear the new 580's they really will not settle for anything less. As you mentioned, the clarity on the water and in different lighting conditions is amazing. Not to mention the great variety and selection of frame styles and sizes that keep the sun and wind from bothering your eyes while out on the water.

On another note, I just wanted to say it has been a pleasure to meet so many of the NJFishing.com members this summer. Everyone is so nice and has been great. Many of them make a point to tell me that NJFishing Members are loyal to the sites sponsors. Most of them could have gotten a new pair of Costa's from a West Marine, Dick's Sporting Goods etc... but have made the trip to Eyes on First Ave. Members have made the trip from Ocean County, Staten Island, Cranford etc... That is just something you do not see anymore. I look forward to the continued partnership between NJFishing.com and Eyes on First Ave.

Hope to see you soon!

Chris,
Hope you had a great Labor Day Weekend! Thank you for taking the time to write this post and for your kind words. I hope you are enjoying your new Costa Harpoon 580's. I also appreciate you going out your way to come to Eyes on First Ave and support a NJFishing.com sponsor. I am sure that there were many places closer to where you live that would have been easier to go to. Stop by when your ready to hook the wife up with a pair, that will certainly buy you some additional fishing time! :)
