That's a fancy jig head. I lose too many to get that fancy. The Keitechs are pricey enough! Lol. Never had much of a slippage or tail ripping problem

put a dab of crazy glue on the jig head/shank to secure the bait. i find it makes them last longer especially if you get small fish pulling on the tail.

Interesting idea. I put a Keitech on a jighead from a package I picked up somewhere some time ago and it's starting to slide off the collar. I put on a Bait Button which is another thing I picked up somewhere some time ago which works well on Texas Rigged Plastic worms. Will see how that holds up next time I get to fish with it but a lock-down collar like the Trokar one posted probably works best.

I just like using what I already have buried with my other stuff that seemed like a good idea back when I bought it.

you're right, only use them when I'm swimming them from the boat, if it grabs something I back over it to free it. othertimes I use the cheapies! :p

I like natural colored ones, for walleyes I've noticed squid scent works well too. Sub 60 degree water I just hop it on bottom. This time of year I cast and let it drop to bottom. Reel it straight in at keeping within 2ft of the bottom, the closer the better. Occasionally let it die and drop to bottom. I've found I do better in warmer water with reeling it in slowly with a few pauses than hopping it like a true jig.
