Re: Cod fishing question

be ready for both bait and jig.i have been out when the jig was the thing and I have been out when bait is the thing.i love to jig and have had lots of good trips in nj.last spring my son and I had some great trips on a ns boat from point with the jigs.remember when using a jig that if you don't get hit while yo-yo jigging try flipping the jig out, letting it hit bottom and reeling slowly up
10-20ft off the bottom and repeating.also there were a lot of small{3-4in}sea bass on these wrecks so we put 4' black fin-s bodys 2ft above the jig which was working great also. 6 oz seemed to be the best size jig but bring some eights just in case.also bring gold and silver as it dose make a difference.
