Re: Another Blackfish Beatdown 11-2
If you target a species, your breaking the LAW.....Period..... Not many blackfish will survive regardless of the water depth they are caught. Plain and simple, Target blackfish and catch your limit and then go for something else. That's what a sportsman would do.........

Rumster seems to know the laws and I'm sure follows them as he is on the bottom fishing grounds often. Why do you think he and his crew broke any laws? Why would you also think that the fish would not survive after release? Many blackfish have survived hours in coolers only to flop around when they get fileted. Very hearty fish. http://www.state.nj.us/dep/fgw/pdf/2015/maregsum15.pdf and just for clarification they are listed as tautog on the link. |

Relax man, unbunch your panties, he broke no law if he caught and released. |
Re: Another Blackfish Beatdown 11-2
We kept our 3 fish for the table and released everything else. The limit is 1 fish per man. Late in the day we were actually boarded by coast guard, they did an all around safety check, looked if we had any stripped bass and then left. Even when the limit is 6, i am conservative. I only keep what i will eat.
