Buzz, I thought I saw a dif pic of the current state record from 2009? 18" and 3# 11oz........ Doesn't look quite as fat as that one but longer.

That was a White Crappie. Kind of looks like a Black to me although there are very faint bars:

I got one 16.5" out of the sticks at Merrill creek on a shiner about 12-13 yrs ago

I love slabs! Got myself a 17.5" beauty ice fishing pa a few years ago. Something I'll always remember. Thought it was a bass or pickerel then had to figure out how to get it out of an 8" hole. Wasn't easy http://i986.photobucket.com/albums/a...eriver/022.jpg
