No, there were never any muskies stocked in that section of the Passaic -or any section that I'm aware of.

Pike are never stocked up there, but they must sneak past the dam in Chatham when the river floods because a few pike are caught by the local experts on the Union County stretch of river. I've given it a good try, but I was never able to find any there.

Limited access and a very long river makes a yak the way to go. You'll probably feel like one of the early pioneers as you explore that stretch from sterling to New Providence. Have at it.

No Muskies, just Pike. The Passaic was stocked with Tiger Muskies many moons ago, but it was discontinued due to poor catch rates. The Pike are everywhere in the river though, even areas not stocked. They have no problems swimming upstream or downstream...
