Re: Fine day at pines 2/1
Was a great day to be out. Glad you guys got into fish. As stated...solid all star crew. Getting spooled is what makes us go back out for more. Whether open water or not, sweet or salt... There's nothing more exhilarating than watching a reel get dumped. I've seen my share out in the canyons. Sometimes you just can't stop a runaway train!

Re: Fine day at pines 2/1
Looks like a great day on the ice.
Just a note, I have had two tip-ups taken down to the arbor knot (only 150' but still)…both times it was in fact channel catfish. I don't know why they just take off sometimes after grabbing a bait. Being that you infact landed a few as well, I would be willing to bet that it what was. |
Re: Fine day at pines 2/1
Good looking fish fellas! nothin like getting spooled and wondering what the hell it was running down there LOL

Re: Fine day at pines 2/1
Man i really need to get out on Pines on the ice, Nice fish!!!
That spot off the island is great where the drop off is. try going a bit farther north towards the point with the coves on both sides. Thats where the pike like to sit in that 18-20ft zone. send a brotha a PM next time!!! My buddy lives on the lake and we would love to get out, we just dont have an auger. my house is 2m down the road! -John |
