The powers that be are pushing to get browns stocked in Spruce Run again. I mean heck, they stock every storm sewer and duck pond in the state, why not stock Spruce Run with an endless supply af tasty herring !

Two words: Sol-lunar Tables.

There is an definite correlation between bait activity/predator feeding and moon/sun phases.

Defiantly worth getting familiar with these data.

I'll agree with my fellow River Rat and friend, Phil. As long as you have time on the water with good people and your enjoying yourself feeling stress free, it's all good! I'm catching plenty of fish and not paying attention to a damn thing, it's exciting enough just being out there talking to myself, lol!!! Fished all phases of the moon both night and day and really have not seen a noticeable effect...may be species driven in FW, i don't know. Think this is more of an issue in SW as the moon phases seriously effect tides etc which is not a concern in FW. Looking over my log book I have never recorded the moon phase in FW outings as I have on SW outings.

I caught 83 fish yesterday, the day before the full moon, for my best trip this year.
