Same thing was happening to a buddy's boat. Turns out he was getting water in the vent while under way.We changed the location of the vent like Capt suggests and that fixed the problem.

Yeah the vent is a good place to look, have you been buying the gas from the same place, and do you have a fuel water seperator.

I am always casually checking out boats thinking about "one day when I will buy a boat" then I read posts like this and am content with rentals, charters and party boats.
