True dat. They are fish which can reach true trophy size which is why we seek them but the effort to get them often does not pay off. More trips don't produce then do and I hate putting max effort in for zero reward. Generally speaking if I put the effort it, I get rewarded. Whether it be getting up at 4:30am or fishing in the rain or hiking 2 miles to fish a spot. Effort pays off. Not so much pike.

congrats to all. i was a donater this year, never even made it out lol. went fluking instead on Saturday the only day of the last 2 weeks i was able to get out.

Welllll you seeee, what had happened was I caught this monster out of farrington, but I can't show it because then everyone will flock there and steal all of my pikeys. Hahah nice job eddie. Ill still be in for next year for sure.

Thank you to all who participated in our 3rd Annual Pike-a-thon. River conditions made things a little tougher than it usually is this time of year, but plenty of fish were caught. Had the pleasure of Piking with some of my best buds, including Bling306, Mistah, Marcin and last but not least the UNDISPUTED RIVER KING, Eddie. This guy manages to be a true ambassador for NJF, organize these tournaments and get togethers, all while balancing a family with 2 young kids and his own business! Though we were neck and neck for the week, if anyone (besides myself :p) deserves to win this thing, it is Eddie! Congrats buddy!

Congrats Eddie and thanks again for putting it together. Didn't catch many but it was a lot of fun. What's next Smallmouth tourney?

Nice fish all, guess the multi-day pike-a thon works out a little better, even with some rough water. Hope to be in it next year........
