Average fishing this weekend plenty of species willing to bite, just no real size to anything we caught.

we had decent amount of tog between 14-16" on the jig mostly 40-50'.

keeper sized seabass out the @$$ on bait and jigs, would've easily limited out the boat on them if they were in season, but obviously all realeased.

didn't really fish in great porgy areas but John caught plenty of them as well.

Birds were diving on blitzing fish for a good window we saw in the afternoon. Albies were def in the mix (we could see them) but the cocktail blues were all we could catch...they were spitting up little bait...should've tried a small fly maybe :o

Chris,

Nice mixed bag. Some nice black fish, looks like you hurt that little fellas jaw in the first shot! It's crazy how big the porgies have been the last few years. I remember as a child, my father would always tell me about I think he called them shad porgies. Big bruisers and how pound for pound they were one of the best fighting fish in the ocean. We'll good to see they've staged a rebound and yes they are a blast to catch and great fight for their size. Good to see them around in the numbers they are.

Have to love fall fishing, have to be prepared for just about anything. Looks like a great day on the water my friend.
