skipped the surf for raritan bay by shore.

Miles of peanuts and blues crashing through them off of staten island.

They are getting ready to leave. I caught about 50 mullet in the wash.
I think its a great time to start fishing Sandy Hook- and south.

Sandy Hook was quiet Sunday evening. Beautiful weather. A few small bluefish and herring, one weakfish. Ended when the tide turned.

On the bright side, bait is stacked up heavy.

Bays and rivers for sure.....may shape up to be a good year out front once the bait starts moving out, though.

Plenty of short Bass around Belford and Leonardo. Been an evening bite!!! Poppers have produced well!

Caught 2 fluke at the manasquan inlet this morning, some guys catching tog too!

Caught a 24" striper in the surf at the hook this morning using fresh calms.
Fishing was slow though.
Also had 2 small fluke hit a deadly dick.
