Click on this link to find out why no one is fishing today. It's a good thing that Jose is so far offshore. Imagine what the beaches looked like in Florida during Irma.

Yea, these "tropical storms" are something---guess I'm about 75-80ml as the crow flies from PPB...past 2 days humidity, clouds and breeze looked exactly like 24 hrs before a storm hit/passed offshore of AC & now is a dull gray...now breeze(10-15) is NNE (going to N to NW & back to N [as forecast] as Jose makes his circle back on its previous track)...Damn, get out of here, we need tuna fishing....Thankfully it's not a cat5 or another Sandy...

I just watched the video at 6:30 P.M. and saw that the water on the beach had almost reached the walkway. There is still an hour and a half until high tide. The inlet and the Manasquan River are worth watching over the next 24 hours. There is very likely going to be a very high tide.
The same has to go for the Raritan and Sandy Hook Bays and their shores. If you have a boat tied up, have someone keep an eye on it for you. Tides raise all boats but they also can sink them if the lines are too tight!
There's still a lot of fishing to do this season but if your boat is out of commission, you might be out of luck.
