Screwed up my timing and left to late
Birthday trip for wife with son and his fiancée
Was going to go south to have chance at tog as well as porgies but garden state parking lot had other plans
When waze said Belmar would be 7:33 we went to plan "B"
Went to Atlantic Highlands and with the red light gods smiling in our favor made the Fishermen with minutes to spare
Boat had plenty of room
First drop a bit slow
Repositioned and game on
By 9:30 had 5 gallon bucket filled with jumbo porgies
Went into catch and release mode due to porgies not a big give away fish
Liked fact Ron left upper deck to help as well as smooze
Ron Sr cooked some lunch for us and was senior diplomat
Fun day had by all
Amazing when catching fish gets boring
