Started off with almost 1 hr wait at Keyport marine ramp, fished all over the bay, keyport,Perth amboy,SI, etc, 1 short, that's it.
Then 45 min wait to ramp boat,
I'll be either slipping or trailer storage thing next year.
Any recommendations, I fish Raritan bay, most of time, around the hook maybe 20%

That ramp was painful yesterday afternoon. I've never seen such confusion and lack of consideration in 35 years of trailering. It went way beyond googans. To the guys that tied up to the floating dock, in line, facing the wrong way... do you really think everyone should have to wait (cause no-one knew where you were) until you were done cleaning your fish at the table or have to jockey our boats around you at the dock to get to the ramp... please look up ramp etiquette. It shouldn't take three trys to center your boat on a float on either. Please practice on a weekday when there aren't 6 boats trying to launch and load.

hard to fix selfish... came in to AHMH public launch yesterday and a ton of boats coming and going around 3pm. very difficult to dock with all the traffic and yet there are people tied up just lounging on their boats. ok, take your sweet time if there's no one else around, otherwise GET MOVING! i think during busy hours the management should send a guy or 2 down to keep things flowing.

One of many yesterday. I saw that guy also, I was 5th inline waiting for my turn. It actually was painful watching some take 20 to 30 min trying to load and unload the boat. Take me , my wife and teen age daughters 5 min!!
Also still is shock of the the 26 ft Searay that was trying to launch boat without getting the trailer wet. Plus they had 14 people on the boat.

Thank God I missed that mess. Stupid people get my blood boiling and I am sure I would have lost it.
Common sense and curtesy seems to be lost now a days.

A recommendation would be rack storage at either Browns Point or Wagners. I use BP and have for 5 years and the only issue is the parking lot can get filled up. It's not cheap but , it avoids all that ramp drama.

I was behind the Searay waiting to load,. I held my breath watching them launch. Even so they did a decent job launching the Queen Mary on a less than adequate ramp. The boat ahead of me, waiting to load, had his trailer blocked in by the line of traffic waiting to launch and load so we waited for him to free up his trailer. Eventually, he told me to load ahead of him. Now I know why I'm in at 5 am and out before noon. Yesterday I took my 85 y/o mother out for a day trip. She couldn't wait to get out of the boat.

Check out the marinas in Highlands. Some have racks and some are in water and some have lifts. Plenty of fuel docks, bait/tackle docks, and great crabbing/fishing in the river sometimes
