Howie Behre Memorial Hybrid contest results!!!

I'm going to keep this short because I'm spent after being in the sun for 2 days straight. We came, we trolled and we kicked some "SHARPIE" ass. They're were over 100 entries in this contest and NJF'ers came out on top! Oh yes, It's true, It's true! Myself and Captain Mikey Topaz put the time in and fished approximately 21 hours of the contest. It was a grind and we stayed patient and caught fish, some were big, some were small. We had some problems on day 1 and still managed to come out on top! 1st place belongs to,,,,,,

1st place - Team Topaz with Cap'n Mikey and 1st mate FASTEDDIE!!!

2nd place - Redi, fishing alone owned it and it was his 1st time fishing the reservoir for Hybrids!!!

3rd place - Gary, 15footers son Christian. Cute kid man! I absolutely love seeing a little guy holding a breeder. I don't have the pic unfortunately!!!

NJF all day baby!!! Fishing and catching fish, It's what we do!!!!!

Huge, huge thanks to my brother Mikey for asking me to join him! I'd go to war with you anytime my friend!!! Teamwork and patience got it done!!! We had a great time and have many stories to tell after this one, LOLOLOLOLOLOL! No more diving into big bodies of water for you, LOLOLOLOLOLOL!!! You are the best Cap'n out there..... PERIOD!!!

Hey, this is off-topic, but did anybody else see the F-15 fighter jet streaking over Clinton around 5:00 pm on Saturday? A small plane flew too close to Trump in Bedminster and they scrambled fighter jets.

I was kayaking on the water Saturday to see the tourney. I stuck close to the shoreline because there were a tremendous number of boats on the water.

Great weekend on sprucey goose for njfers! Myself and eddie worked our tails off past three weeks for this one.... over 18 trips to spruce in that time pre fishing getting ready for the big day lotta hours put in for this one. Huge thanks to my good friend eddie. Every time me and him are together it's a no-brainer. Congrats to my budd Reddi on second place finish and Gary's son Christian on his third. Great job guys

P.s satarday we had a laugh I had to share rod goes off on down rigger, I pull rod out holder fish yanked rod outta my hand in the drink.... first time ever... 45 mins later I see the rod floating I jump off the boat swim 15 feet grab the rod fish is still on! Treading water with one hand reeling with the other finally eddie scoops me up grabs the rod and fish comes unbuttoned �� We deserved this one ☝��

Little guy was up at 3am and pulled a late night trip in the same day. He did hit me up for $100 of the winnings though lmao. We will beat u guys next year. We just have to do more fishing and less "camping". Slow pick and some below average fishing really made everyone work hard. You guys deserved it. Until next year 😎

I think it really came down to you guys fishin a fatter group of fish....We fished diff parts of the lake than you guys, landed three 25" contenders that were all skinny.....We marked plenty of bait but no fish on em, and i think i know why???

Oh it'll be epic alright!!! Smallest fish wins!!! Too much bait out there with Channel Cats up there asses!!!! We had 24 inchers that were 3.5 lbs and a 24.5 incher that was 6.78 lbs!!! WTF is up wit dat crazy place? See ya out there Psychopath!!!

Dale was in bad shape at our campsite. The guy barely moved. He dragged himself out there for a night trip Saturday though after fishing in that heat all day by himself most of the day. He fished his ass off Saturday during a tough bite. I give him lots of credit for that. Hell be back next year! Eddie, Seth is always gettin abused. That 6yr old is lucky Seth didnt throw down on him lmao.

How does a rod float? I know the handles are cork, but that never stopped my rods from going to Davy Jones Locker. BTW congrats on the win.
