Been busy... Reports are below:
Tues 8/15: Very tough day for us today. Brett and crew came down from upstate ny for a trip. Took a long ride in search of speedsters. First 2 hours in search mode were NG as we only had 2 short knockdowns on the troll. Finally started reading fish and put the jigs in and the guys had all the mackerel they could handle with a bluefish here and there and 1 bonito lost at boatside. Mixed it up and hit a wreck and had some seabass and ling and then finished up inshore fluking but that was NG. Guys had a great time and they'll be putting those macks in the smoker tonight.
Weds 8/16: Did a half day trip today with Ken, Yale and their kids. Fluking was NG so we fished a few snags and easily got a boat limit of seabass - we kept all NMRs -- loads of shorts many doubles and lots of fish tossed back that were right at the mark. Great quick trip and the kids' smiles say it all!
