fished a ns out of point yesterday for ling.left the dock at 7:30 sharp and headed east.dropped anchor at 8:30 and it was game on.had life and good bites right away.they were mostly smalls and mediums but there was plenty to catch.
had 12 in about 20 minutes with 2 doubles.seemed like all of us in the bow were catching and the rest were just picking.capt says hes going to make a little wiggle and after the adjustments were made we dropped back down and it was game on again.we were catching them steady in the bow again and the rest just a pick.the peeps that were jigging their baits were the ones catching.i used clam, some used gulp but if you worked you were rewarded.took a break from the ling and started tossing a 27 around.jigged some short sea bass and all the macks you wanted.it was fun for sure but wanted to get some more ling.capt made 4 or 5 moves with all being good fishing.i wound up with 47 ling,1 flounder
some short sea bass and some macks.all and all a great day with both the weather and fish cooperating.most had 15-25 fish to take home.
