MUSHIN took out a small group on 8/10 open boat canyon day troll in beautiful weather conditions and found good tuna action in a local canyon. Like many of the boats there, we picked away at smaller tunas and added some mahi, and waited for the big bites. We boated two nice fat Yellowfins, each around 70 pounds, to round out the trip. The quality of the larger-model YFT has been really nice this season! Once again, the purple-black colored plastics outfished every other lure or bait in the spread! There has been a good spread of yellowfin in different northern canyons, and things look good for upcoming trips!
