Fish the jetties if shore bound.. Kings, Croakers, Spots, Blowfish, Triggers, maybe even a few fluke.. Cape may jetties are very productive in summer for salt water pan fish...
here's a really good article about some CM jetties thats very informative and will get you started... bob

[QUOTE=bulletbob;489592]Yes, if he wants to dig up some sand bugs, Sheepshead are becoming fairly common in so. jersey these days, but he said kid friendly, so i didn't mention them. Not an ideal fish for kids... the kids will have their hands full with spot, croaker, and kings... bob
wow thanks so much fellas. I appreciate it. when you say jetties you mean the ones along the beech by the rusty nail hotel ? so ill just walk down and fish those early in the morning???

Another pm sent; also....
Sharking bay side has become somewhat productive; bunker's your key there. Villas to the point will get you in the right area. The canal across from the ferry boats is relatively kid friendly and easy access as is the ICW under the "$.25" bridge.

My wife drags me there at least once a year. The surf fishing is usually pretty active but almost always small fish. Some years you see decent croakers but generally small. I like the area surrounding the light house.
The ferry inlet is not as kid friendly but it's the best bet for dinner. Could be some nice blackfish triggers or a fluke there.
thanks for the reply fellas, ya guys got a great site here.

Grab a bottle or 2 of shedder crab oil. Fish small crabs, fleas or worms for spikes in the bay. Sheeps and triggers in the rocks. The oil is crack. Local b&t should point you in the right direction.
