Yesterday we lost one of the real old time captains and a great friend & mentor. Norman Mordaunt passed early yesterday.

Norm retired from running boats about 6 or 7 years ago but before that ran the Golden Eagle for many years as well as countless other boats in New York & New Jersey.

He was a great friend and he will be missed.

Norm Rest In Peace!!

Did a couple tuna trips with Capt. Norm on the Golden Eagle. He was a wealth of knowledge and to this day I still practice what he taught me. Great Captain and a great person. RIP Capt. Norm.

Sad
I've known Norm for about 60 years. He got his license while working for my Dad (Charlie Dodd - Optimist) when he was 18 years old in the late 50's.
Alot of history there. He will be missed.
RIP Norm

fished many many years with Norm at the helm of the golden eagle. such a great man and captain. Never felt more safe than when he was at the helm 100 miles off. Rest in peace my friend
