Left Manasquan at 4:15 and headed to the Bacardi. Stopped a little short on some life. Whales, birds etc. Trolled east towards our original destination and ended up southeast of the wreck in a decent fleet. Green 76 degree water but tons of bait and fish marks in a pretty small area. Pounded the area for hours and finally got our bite on the wwwb bally/ blue white Shute. Immediately this fish was dumping the 50W and with only a small amount of line left I increased the drag which had zero effect on the line dumping from the reel and the fish broke the chafe guarded loop (120 lb leader) at the snap swivel.
That was it for us for the day. No more bites although we did hear of a couple fish caught and a couple others spooled.
Nice ride in as it laid down during the day.
