Last night, we fished to the north tight to the beach and eventually ended up out to the east with no luck. We had very tough conditions all afternoon and the bottom still seems to be a bit churned up from the rough seas the past few days. We caught a few ling and some skates, as well as, a handful of sea bass, which were all released.
Today, we fished well north of shark inlet. We did quite a bit of looking and ended up fishing on the edge of the channels. There was good bird life with some fish on top along with readings on the bottom. We were able to pick at them on some drifts, others we just caught a few. It was definitely a lot better fishing today than it was yesterday. Ava 27’s worked best.
