Went again this past weekend on the Barb-Gail with Capt. Chris and Allen. Quick stop for some seabass. Then made a run for some bottom fishing. Started almost immediately putting some large Ling and the targeted Winter Flounder on ice. Ended up getting a boat limit while playing catch n release. We all were treated to a wonderful lunch after just barely downing a hugh breakfast sandwich. Decided to head in for a few drops and try for fluke. After making several unsuccessful drifts we all decided to call it an early day.
Can't thank Chris enough for a great day of fishing. Was very excited to meet a new fellow fisherman Jay who traveled all the way from the keystone state and left very happy and excited having tangled with his first ever winter flounder. Special thanks to my friends Roger, Jimmy, Jerry and of course my partner Elis.........hats off.
Can't wait to do it again..................tight lines

How far offshore do you have to head for the ling/winter flounder?

A few shots from some previous trips aboard the Barb-Gail. Summertime fishing at it's finest. No need to travel hundreds of miles up north for hugh flounder. They are right here in your own backyard.
