I fished on Gregs 25 Steiger Pilothouse and started off around 5:30am by Rockaway NY heading east towards Johns Inlet. Marked some fish but no takers. The N NW wind started honking so we decided to run back to NJ side getting pounded on the Stbd side. Tried everywhere from sea bright down to Asbury and back stopping several time on Bunker and live lined while not trolling. At 4:15pm called it quits "5pm last weigh in" and ran into Raritan bay to a NW wind on the bow. Trolled the triangle an bit for blues also cast up a couple too. Crazy weather day with wind changing direction several times and rain and sun them rain to t-shirt and shorts weather back at the dock. Congrats to the winners they really earned it. 2 fish total weight of 85.2lbs won.
Next tourney for me is Mako Mania/ Mako Fever 6-25-17. I'll be doing some trial runs prior..

You guys certainly covered enough water .Congrats to "Billy" and the others contestants as well.
What a crazy weather day Eddie as it went from nice in the morning
To crazy windy and rainy to nice for weigh in
Was invited again my team Eastwyck to join there group
Found out bait early in the Am right at the marina and got out 8 pieces in three throws and headed out in some nice conditions and were set up by 530. Shortly after we have our first fish in the boat followed by a big long fat fish. Got 2 quality fish early that took the edge off. The weather turned to shit and we tried everything to try to upgrade in less than favorable conditions but it it was not meant to be. Weighed in about 4 and were leading with a total of 75.9 lbs
With the big girl going 45 lbs. which lead the Calcutta as well
That was short lived as we ended dropping to forth place. Overall a great day as this is the worth time fishing this tournament and the 3 Rd time we placed. Did not win a lot of money but enough

Great effort , you guys did better than most. The big fish that have been off the Rockaways that have been around all week just didn't Cooperate for us. Long day indeed. Took my family out for an awesome steak dinner and some cold ones to unwind. Sharks next. Good luck to you and your friends..

thank you , the weather was a huge factor in trying to keep our plan on how to fish, it got pretty nasty for about 3 to 4 hours where the wind was blowing a steady 25.
Got the big one early then trolled for almost 9 hours before getting another bite. congrats to all that fished it and placed, alot of great fishermen and women in the tournament with alot of fished weighed with the fishing not being that great.

Eddie/Greg, sounds like you gave it all....Tough day. Weather just messed it up anyway. we were further south and had many wet anglers.
