Curious Why did you personally choose 2 lb test?

I get the most action on 2 lb test fluorocarbon line with 1/32 oz jigs. I occasionally hook a big fish that I land but most of my ultralight jigging catch are small fish. I usually go carp fishing and if the carp aren't biting, I do some jigging. Biggest fish that I ever landed on 2 lb test was a 20 lb common carp in the Delaware River. I also landed a 19 lb snapper in Robert G. Martin Lake on 2 lb test. If you want maximum fresh water fishing action, 2 lb test fluorocarbon is the way to go. You will catch more fish than everybody else on most of your trips.

I'm not opposed to going light, whenever possible. And often enough, I find it can and will generate more action.

The only negative thought I have about this is I think you can fight a fish to exhaustion and building up too much lactic acid. Even when they swim away (assuming its released), they might not make it later on.

Note - this is not a criticism of you by any means. Its just my general comments.

Maui Jims sunglasses have a lens that is bi-focal. Makes things easier. If you look down the lens is magnified. You probably need 150 magnification. I use them all the time with a brown lens. They also provide prescription glasses.

More than 99% of the fish that I hook with 2 lb test line are small and I reel them in quickly. Most years I only hook a few carp with 2 lb test line but I keep everyone. I never caught a big bass on 2 lb test. They usually don't hit small lures.
