Hey guys, I'm going to be taking two others out for a short 3-hour fluke trip Friday morning. Looking at the tides, Oceanic Bridge in Navesink River has a low tide at 11:20am. Shark River in Belmar has a low tide of 945am.

We will be fishing in the morning, starting at 6am. You guys think it's better to fish the Navesink or Shark river for fluke tomorrow morning? I've heard some mixed reports on Shark River fluking, with last week being on fire, and this week being so-so. I have yet to hear a single report for the oceanic bridge area. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for the help ya'll

Navesink channel edges. Small bucktails and small baits!!

I've had luck in the Shrews with 16 keepers in 2 trips including a 7 pounder. Only a handful of shorts. Can't imagine that the Nav would be much different since they have to pass right by the Nav to get to the Shrews. So I'd say that would be your best shot - but I have no knowledge of Shark River this season. Fish are full of grass shrimp and baby blue crabs.

Hope that helps - I think you'll have a great tide Friday morning.

Don't take fluke advise from a guy named Blackfish Bobby. He'll probably tell you to cut the hooks off your jigs!
