On Saturday Redeemer Sportfishing hosted the Frank Kuraz charter for another striper trip. Frank and crew were back for their second trip in less then a week looking for a shot at redemption after a slow first trip. Decided to head south, made bait at multiple locations and live lined for over two hours without a touch.
With no drift I knew it was time to troll the imported top water Polish Shads from HRT. Within 15 minutes we had our first bite a spawned out and empty 50", 42 pounder. Great fight on the braid and light tackle. No comparison to wire. We trolled for another hour and landed 3 more all over 40 pounds on the top waters. With a limit of overs the charter called it an early day. Our 2 heaviest fish weighed a combined 82 pounds which was good enough for first place in Captain Bills Landing Striper Tournament. All fished were spawned out.
As a designated imported for HRT of Poland we are offering the top water plugs to the NJ Fishing community either through our website (Merchandise page) or at Captain Bills Landing located next to Reds Lobster Dock at the Manasquan Inlet.
