Fluke season is here!!! Headed down from nnj with all the joy of a fat kid in a candy store!! As always Capt Ron & crew worked their a$$ off all day. It was just that kinda day, early in the season. Nibbles and taps here and there but no major bite to speak of. I had 4 shorts and a fun bluefish. Conditions were a lil tough as it was ripping out there. (Not brutal but not great) It was great to be fluking again. Always great to see June and her AMAZING galley!!! Mmmmm. Great seein ice cream bill and a few others as well. They definitely wanted some meat mixed w a lil gulp... Gotta say it's a lil odd not having Shrimpy out there... dare I say even miss him?? Naaaaa :p

Great to fish with you today, even after you left the pulpit to fish with us near the stern. You and I represented our Bergen Cty town well today despite the windy conditions after the tide change.

Had 7 shorts and a big sea robin. Capt. Ron and mates gave us a great effort as usual. I promise to buy one of June's homemade super-sized hamburgers on my next trip on The Fisherman.
