Planning vacation for end of June. See reports of eyeballs YFTs and swordfish out of Marbella. Anyone ever fish there or have any contacts ? Thanks in advance for help.
the med has its moments... but its not going to be like east coast fishing... i think bluefins are your best bet for that area.. they get mahi later in the summer.. the swordfish tend to be juveniles, I would be surprised to see a targetable bigeye fishery. my experience with the med is miles of blue calm water and not much life swimming around in it. good luck .. hope u prove me wrong !

We have a lot more game fish here, than they have in the med.. its been overfished, and over exploited for a LONG time.. I would do research on the specific area you will be visiting, and contact local charter operators with requests, and reasonable expectations for the time frame you will be fishing..

Google sport fishing in Marbella. There are some boats that sport fish. Fuel is very expensive in Spain running about $7 to $8 per gallon. The charges will reflect those prices.
Great food, cheap adult beverages and wonderful people.
