Hey Ken, love reading the reports.
Just got an Old Town Yak this year. Budd lake is on my list of place to hit.
Where do I launch? Ive heard the boat launch is private and you have to pay?

Nice to see someone ACTUALLY holding a fish and not using one of the BOGUS grips, and Northern Pike no less. Great write up and way to get the fishy smell on ya.

That looked to be an awesome adventure Ken. Love when you include photos of not only the fish you get but also the lures used to get said fish - extremely helpful for beginner anglers!
Always look forward to these well-written articles :D

well done ken.you sure did pick a hell of a day to go out on budd lake. wind, rain and chilly temps you are an esox warrior. very nice budd lake largemouth as well. that brushy shoreline is where i fish on that lake. there are two streams that enter the lake, that is where i fish both on hard water and open water.as always great report ken thanks for posting..

You picked a great time to go Ken. Fantastic day catching those pike a long with a hog of a bass. Definitely a golden day for you. Those are the same lures that I use.

Great job!! I love fishing and exploring new water almost as much as catching. Having success on the first try makes it even better. Nice fish!!

Nah..... I launched over in the parking lot across from the High Noon Bar on 46. There`s a place right there to launch a `Yak. So have at it and catch `em up! Good luck!
