A couple of friend's and I have a couple days leave from the Marine Corps and my friend from Kentucky has never been Saltwater fishing before and he wants to go. I'm from North Jersey and used to go fishing out of the highlands a lot but that's a far drive from our Barracks. Does anyone know of any party boats or even charters that are going out this time of year in the Delaware Bay? Or even as far north as Brigantine?? Thanks

The Osprey Fishing Fleet is out of Atlantic City, look at the banner on top of the page and also click the "Party Boat" link in the header.

delaware bay is dead, hearing a few drum, but otherwise its quiet. There is a boat in cape may call capt paul to see if they are sailing
Thank you for your service and for sharing our great sport with a friend.
South Jerseys number one captain, Paul Thompson, has a boat in Cape May called the Porgy 1V. Right over the bridge on right across from Jim's Bait and Tackle. He's black fishing all the reefs now. They're excellent table fare. It's tough fishing but ask him or the mate how it's done. Bring a good pair of scissors to cut the bait crabs. He leaves 8:00 am. Be extremely cautious and check out the wind conditions the night before. It's suppose to be windy all this week. Anything under 10-15 knots is fishable. Make sure the new guys take some kind of seasick pills the night before and in the morning. No alcohol the night before. Coffee and orange juice are not good things to drink in the morning before you sail. The weather is really cold out in the ocean this time of year. Thermal underwear, turtle neck pull over shirts, wool clothes, warm boots are in order. Good luck!

Make your trip count. Look up either Capts Skip on Stalker II or Adam Bomb Charters, they are 6pack charters, ww/cape may, see if you can get "two open seats" they should be fishing striper or drum. I always caught striper in spring with them. Used to go every year until recently. Tried most of the others listed but prefer them.
