Had the day off so I figured with the sunny weather would try my hand at floundering. Hit the bulkheads at shark river at about 11:30. Not many people down there. Was a little breazy and I think high tide was around 2. Fished till 4 with no action besides a couple of clam shells. Used blood worms. Did not see any fish caught but a guy in a kayak said he got one. Well that's fishing. Might try this weekend in raritan bay with the warm spell we're supposed to have.

I was hoping for a bit more sun this week to warm up the water a bit. Also, it would be nice to have high tides in the early afternoon to allow the sun and shallow dark mud to heat up the water to get the bite going. Hopefully it will be sooner than later.
