Agreed - this site has been 99% about fishing/boating/fisheries management and good fun.

Seen other sites over taken by political trolls. Not worth it. Keep it fishing light and serious topics but screw the politics. No ones minds ever get changed in these web pi$$ing matches anyway.

Had all my rigs tied, reels lubed and relined with new braid, hooks sharpened then mother nature dumped on us....... looking at Sunday anyway..... time to wet a line.:D

Thanks for all the support and PMs on this subject everyone...

For those who know me, I'm a pretty level headed person and it takes a lot (sometimes maybe too much) for me to get to my boiling point. I also believe everyone is entitled to their opinions as long as it's stated courteously, even though they might differ from mine.

I'm determined to not let this political stuff over run this site and divide us. We are much better then that.

My sandbox, my rules and if you don't like them, feel free to troll your political opinions and views on a different site.

Unfortunately we all run into this on fishing web sites where is really does not belong.


I also see the dunderheads yelling about Freedom of Speech. Simply put, there is no law or Constitutional prohibition/protection that requires a private fishing web site to allow you to post anything you want.


Freedom of speech is delineated in the 1st Amendment to the U.S. Constitution as: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.


This means, very simply put, that the Government cannot limit your right to free speech. It does not mean you are allowed to speak freely and about anything you want in any forum - including a fishing web site.

Thanks for running a great site and lets keep on track and on topic.
