Once again they { State/Federal Govt. } could care less about what the boating-fishing community does for the economy as well as getting people out on the water. They say boaters should use Barnegat Inlet or Absecon Inlet. Well, let's see how much extra fuel and time [ trust me, its a long way to either of them } it is now going to take to get out in the Ocean. Luckily, I don't draw much and can use the North cut to get out and typically head east or north but I really feel for these big boat owners. Freakin ridiculous. This inlet has been shoaling up for years. For those who have never seen it, it's not your typical inlet like Shark River or Manasquan. Just one big opening between the tip of Holgate to Brigantine across the mouth. Sandbars all over with plenty of white water. Safe passages to all who use it.
