Just went this past Friday on the Double Eagle III out of Clearwater beach for a 4 hour trip and it was ok. It had blown pretty good for the 2 days before and the water was very cloudy so I don't have much of a report for you besides about a dozen grunts caught on the boat. Plenty of room with lots of seating inside. Galley with decent selection of food and also sells bud and bud light. Mate was good. The double eagle fleet has 2 boats, one for 4 hour trip and the other for 8 hours. The other headboat I was looking at down there was the queen fleet which was pretty much the same with 2 ships for the 2 different trips.

Other option is to drive up to Tarpon Springs. That is more of a locals boat, not a tourist trap. They have a bait boat that stops before it sails and a community live well to keep the bail alive
