I go every year with my kid and his bud. To me, worth it for sure. Plenty of deals and all the extra curricular crap to keep it interesting.

Of all the big fishing shows go, definitely the best as far as salt water in our area. All the mainstream rod and reel Manufacturers are there as are some local tackle stores. One of the shows I try not to miss.

I love this show. I would guess that it is one of the largest ones in the state
. I recommend buying tickets on line. There is usually a long line to get in when the doors open but it's much quicker if you already have your ticket. Plenty of parking.
Really good seminars and many vendors.

A very good show. Good people and good gear. For the best buys, it is worth going Sunday afternoon. Some people are willing to make deals to get rid of stuff.

It's a valuable show, Josh. I prefer going Friday when it opens. I think better deals are made then as vendors are eager to break the ice plus you're looking at their entire stock vs what's left on Sunday. Just my perspective as a salesman lol.

Will be odd this yr with no efinger or Meltzers. They always ran some kind of special with rod and reel vendors. And meltzers was dependable for dirt cheap seaguar blue label fluoro (not whiskey lol). Easily my favorite show in the area. Chewing the fat with crazy Alberto at the St croix booth is always entertaining too.

With all due respect Rich. I feel that these are two different types of experiences. Hi-mar is a Flea Market, with a good mix of new & used equipment. The Saltwater Expo has more new equipment for sale and a chance to talk with more out of state people.

Both should be attended . Though the one major advantage the Hi-Mar Fishing Flea market has is everyone gets to talk to me! :p
