10th : had Manny and Nate aboard in search of some blackfish. Left shark river at 7 and got set up on a piece and went to work. First fish to the boat was a 4 pounder caught by Nate using a jig. Bite started as a pick but they began chewing really aggressively. We put 14 keepers in the boat by 930 then things slowed up. A boat came flying off our bow and knocked us off our piece. Instead of going back and re anchoring like i should have, we ran out to a new area. Spot number 2 had a nice pick of shorts and keepers until that crazy south current began running too hard. Ended with 27 keepers for 3 of us ORL with a ton of shorts. Big fish went 7 lbs and we had a ton in the 4-5 pound range.
11th : today I loaded up with an all star crew consisting of John matt and Kevin. Got out of shark river and was treated to an ocean of glass. Flat calm. Dropped the hook and began our day. We picked 3 keepers in 30 minutes with short life and then they just shut off. Picked up and made a run to one of my favorite pieces. John drops his jig down and gets slammed. After an up and down crazy battle, we got this pig into the net. Weighed in at 10 pounds 2 oz. after being bled out. Caught that 1 pig and a couple shorts and nothing else to show for it. Picked up and took us to another spot and it was game on. We put our last 20 fish in the boat in an hour along with WAYYY too many short fish. Green crabs actually outfished whites today, however most keepers ate whites. Ended with 24 fish in the box with John's 10+ on a light action spinning rod highlighting the day.
Although we limited both days, the fishing really took a dive from what it was. Can't upload pictures from my phone so I'll upload them once my laptop charges
