Anyone have any reports/ good, bad, indifferent about surf fishing? Know it's been blowing like hell, but wondering if people have seen bait, are they up north by the hook, or south, etc...?

My brother said that him and his friend caught 100 keeper stripers in the IBSP surf yesterday afternoon on Tsunami white plastic shads.

Great video. Looks like fall blitz fishing in Montauk without the 4 hour ride. Amazing how close bass and blues will come when they're migrating and hungry. If there's one fish you don't want to be in the entire ecosystem it's a bunker! Poor bastards don't stand a chance!

I can vouch the hard west wind brought bunker and bass right in to the beach on monday in central mon cty and snag and drop was the ticket for keepers! :)

I didn't get a hit with 102 casts of a Storm Shad and teaser in the Manasquan Inlet north jetty pocket yesterday evening. Saw a hickory shad jump out of the ocean and saw minnows nearby. Got weeds on my lure on nearly every cast because of the dredging nearby. Didn't see anybody catch a fish.
